Lemon Ice

This sweet winter time book inspired us to recreate the characters' "Lemon Ice". Give kids a few slices of lemon (we did orange, too), and a small cup of sugar when you have a day with enough pristine snow. They had a blast making this.

My mom often made snow ice cream with us (memorable and delicious), but this recipe was great for my kids to make right outside in the snow when we were visiting a woodsy cabin during a big snowfall. If you have Sugar Fear, you can try it with your sweetener of choice.
